The National Bushcraft School Association has been created as a benchmarking and development tool that sets a professional standard for Outdoor education using Bushcraft provision within education settings. As a member you will gain recognition in providing excellent outdoor learning provision, access expert bushcraft training for your staff and you and your children will benefit from all the positives that our curriculum linked outdoor learning programmes provide.

Our instructors can train, support or even run sessions at your setting independently.

 

How much does membership cost?

The cost of membership is just £75.00 + VAT per year. We keep the cost of membership to a minimum to be as inclusive as possible and to bring the benefits of outdoor learning to as many people as possible!

 

Who can be a member?

Membership is available for freelancers, schools, nurseries, pre-schools or other settings who want to offer Bushcraft outdoor learning. The membership can apply to an organisation or an individual. Organisations must have a member or staff with relevant training as detailed below. It is recommended that applicants have some previous experience in providing outdoor learning prior to applying.

For approved member status the organisation must have either;

  • One or more qualified National Bushcraft School Association Bushcraft Leaders or a member of staff in training to become a National Bushcraft School Association Bushcraft Leader. OR have current contracted outdoor learning provision fulfilled by a National Bushcraft School Association Bushcraft Leader or Instructor.
  • One or more members of staff qualified to Level 3 Forest School Leader or above.
  • One or more members of staff qualified to Level 3 NCFE Bushcraft Instructor or above.
